Craig Bobo is a nationally respected racquet sports professional, senior professional pickleball player, coach, and club leader. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Craig spent his secondary school, high school, and early adult years in the Houston area before competing as an NCAA Division I tennis athlete at what is now Texas State University.
His extensive career has included leadership and coaching positions at Westover Hills Club, Heights Athletic Club, Pickleland, and Pickleball Kingdom Pflugerville.
Craig has coached more than 40 athletes who advanced to collegiate tennis, along with numerous elite players who went on to compete in professional tennis and professional pickleball. One of his proudest accomplishments was coaching C.J. Klinger during C.J.'s formative years. Craig remains close to C.J. and the Klinger family to this day.
After transitioning from tennis to pickleball shortly after COVID-19, Craig quickly rose through the senior professional ranks. He won the 2024 PPA Austin Open Senior Pro Singles championship, earned bronze in Senior Pro Doubles at the same event, reached the Senior Pro Singles final at the APP Houston Open, and has medaled in several APP and PPA doubles competitions.
Craig played for the NPL Houston Hammers and served as general manager and player for the 2025 Austin Ignite. In 2026, he is General Manager and Director of Coaching at Pickleball Kingdom Pflugerville, co-founder and commissioner of the Texas Senior Pro Pickleball League, co-captain of the Austin Bandits, and co-owner of the USLPL Texas Stars.
Above all, Craig is the proud father of five children: Adia, Heather, April, Keri, and Josh. His career continues to reflect his passion for coaching, competition, servant leadership, and helping others reach their full potential.
