Player Bio
Sally Smithley was born and raised in Wales, Great Britain, and moved to the United States after marrying an American.
She played tennis in tournaments across Europe and represented Wales as a junior. She won the British Indoor Junior National Mixed Doubles title and, on the deaf tennis tour, won a bronze medal in the Olympics and silver in the European Championship. She was also the No. 1-ranked British player.
In pickleball, Sally has won several medals in APP tournaments and other events and is currently a three-time national deaf champion.
Off the court, Sally works as an artisan chocolatier and culinarian, making chocolates and fillings for a large chocolate company in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
